He was born in Bucak district of Burdur in 1978. He graduated from the Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University in 2000 with first degree honors. He completed his master's degree in 2002 and his doctorate in 2006 in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the same university's Institute of Social Sciences. He became an associate professor in the field of Accounting and Finance in 2012 and a professor in 2017.
He started his career as a Teaching Assistant in 2003 at Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School; He served as Department Head (2003-2005), Deputy Director (2006-2007) and Director (2007-2011). In addition, he was the founding director of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Bucak Zeliha Tolunay Applied Technology and Business Vocational School in 2008. He initiated the 7+1 applied education model for the first time in this vocational school, where he personally took part in the entire establishment process.
He served as the Coordinator of Vocational Schools at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University between 2015-2019. During his tenure, he carried out important studies such as the establishment and active operation of Program Advisory Boards in vocational schools, specialization and restructuring of each vocational school within the university in a thematic area, and the implementation of the 3+1 applied education model. He served as the Dean of Bucak Business Faculty in the 2018-2019 period and initiated the first application of the 6+2 applied education model in Turkey during this period.
He served as the Vice Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University between 2017-2023. With the selection of the university as a specialized university in the field of Animal Husbandry within the scope of the University's Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program, he took on the duty of Vice Rector responsible for Regional Development Projects Conducted in the Field of Animal Husbandry. Within the scope of this duty, he coordinated the execution of over forty projects involving approximately 250 academics in close cooperation with the relevant sector stakeholders and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. In addition, he carried out studies to implement the +1 and +2 applied education models in other academic units within the university.
He is currently continuing his academic studies in the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, and has produced nearly 40 articles and papers at national and international level and 3 book studies throughout his academic career.
Married and father of two children, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin DALGAR was appointed as the Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in accordance with the 13th article of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 and the 2nd, 3rd and 7th articles of the Presidential Decree No. 3, by the Presidential Decision No. 2023/290 dated June 6, 2023.
